Affiliate Programs

Affiliate Programs are very big on the Web now. You'll see them all over, and you'll see and read much discussion on the subject. Maybe the best known is the program of Amazon.com.

With these arrangements, someone with a website can sign up for the program, put information about the product on his site, and, if one of his visitors goes to the seller and buys a product, the affiliate program member earns a commission.

You can probably see all kinds of possibilities here already for a Millennium Project Website. The secret lies in finding those programs that complement your site and project.

For example, books can be found to add to almost every possible website; however, condoms, Viagra, and/or tobacco products might not add to the value of your site. (And there really are affiliate programs to sell these products.)

Here are some of the Affiliate Programs you'll find on Site 901:

  • Amazon.com
  • Web Cards
  • ZDU
  • Countdown Clocks
  • Tech World Store
  • Wiz City
  • SelfPromotion.com
  • Winning the Affiliate Game
  • Internet Call Manager
  • Internet Marketing Center

If you're really interested in finding out more about how to successfully make the best use of affiliate programs, I highly recommend both "Winning the Affiliate Game" and/or "Internet Marketing Center" mentioned above. I'm constantly finding and using new ideas every time I go back to look at material from either of these.

The best place to find listings for affiliate programs is at AssociatePrograms.com.
