Do you believe the kind of things this millennium stuff has brought up? What this brings out in some people? Look at what's happening.

Millennium Year 2000 (2001) is used as a symbol of the future. During 1999, 2000, and 2001 most of the world will celebrate holidays with some of the biggest events and parties in history. New Year's Eve. Christmas. New Year's Day.

Everything will be symbolic. This will also be a Bimillennium, by the way, a 2000th year anniversary.

The approach of this millennial year seems to bring people's thoughts to the future or the past; some are anxious; some are anticipating. Many feel inspired to do great things -- thinking that this is the time for the world to turn into a better place. People and organizations can get very idealistic and visionary.

And everyone is "counting down".

Some are searching for signs and synchronicity. It feels like something really big should happen now. There seems to be "meaning" in everything. See "First, It's a Symbol". Also, religious thought has focused followers on "end times" and the beginning of an era of peace and prosperity.

For many people, the turn of the century and millennium generates hope for a better tomorrow -- however they might define it.

We will be seeing more and more "predictions" and lists of the "century's most ...(fill in the blank)" plus all the earnest pleadings for "constructive" thoughts and actions now.

So, we might as well get ready and get used to it -- for the next few years we are going to be constantly bombarded with that word.
